Hi everybody!
As you might have already noticed, we are getting close to a new stable series. This series will be named 1.4. To give translators some chance to catch up with the strings, we will soon start a string and feature freeze. For at least 4 weeks after that there will be no big string changes/additions but only small spelling and grammar fixes. This time is called the "soft string freeze". This time is also the beta time for 1.4. After at least 4 weeks, we will start the "hard string freeze". This means that absolutely no strings will change. It will come together with the first rc for 1.4 and will last for at least 2 weeks.
To add some times to this schedule:
* If possible I want to start the feature/string freeze on January, 11th.
* Afterwards you have at least 4 weeks (maybe even 6, who knows...) to work on the strings though some little spelling fixes will get in. They will probably go in as a whole block and not as one each.
* The next important step might happen around FOSDEM: start of the final string freeze and rolling out the first rc.
* About two weeks later (if things go as planned) I would like to have 1.4
ready. That is the beginning of March.
Once in the 1.4 branch (we enter it when 1.4 is released), the same rules as with 1.2 will apply:
* At least one week between string changes and a new release. I will announce
the pot-update that introduces the changed strings on the wesnoth-i18n ml.
* All translations, no matter how incomplete, will be in. If a translation needs an extra font that is not included, they should send a mail to the wesnoth-i18n mailling list and say the font-name, a link to the homepage/license. We will include that font if that translation does at least have these textdomains complete:
wesnoth, wesnoth-lib, wesnoth-tutorial, wesnoth-multiplayer, wesnoth-units, one campaign.
This is *only* needed to have the font included if it is not already included.
All translations itself will be in anyway.
Since you will be reading over the english strings anyway, please do report any spelling/grammar mistakes at this page in the wiki, so that they can be fixed before 1.4:

I will post the schedule in the wiki over here:
http://www.wesnoth.org/wiki/Wesnoth1.4ReleasePlan. But it might happen that this page is not updated correctly. Have a look at
http://www.wesnoth.org/wiki/Wesnoth1.4Features to get a general idea of how close we already are.
And please check if all the participants of your translation team are listed in the credits. If one is missing, please send a mail to your translation maintainer, which will tell me or Torangan to add those to the credits.
I hope to have as many complete translations in 1.4 as possible. Thanks in
advance for your efforts.
Cheers,
Nils Kneuper aka Ivanovic
So, all fuzzy could start to remove from now, and wesnoth wesnoth-lib wesnoth-mutiplayer should start as well.
